GOOD FRIDAY EVENING! It’s Co-Brand Friday where we take a look at one of Unity’s Co-Brand partners a little more closely. This week, I am sharing with you a little project that I made using Marah Johnson’s Art and Soul. This stamp set is up my alley because of all the artsy possibilities. I love crows and birds, and cool fonts and lettering, flourishes, crowns, and this set has it all! (See below for the full kit). Just a warning, these tags can be addictive! They are fun to make, quick and you can go ahead and layer on the stamps and make a collage look. You can also mess up and throw it out, no biggie, it’s just a tag right? EASY INKED TAG
- Ink the tag by dabbing a Distress Ink (Peeled Paint) pad onto a non-porous surface (glass, non-stick craft sheet), then spritz it with water, dab both sides of the tag in the water/ink mizture. Let dry
- Stamp images in various shades of green inks, the darkest, being the bird and create, the other elements lighter so that they are not as apparent.
- Spritz some bronze mist onto bits of the tag (not too much, just to add some shimmer).
- Ink left side of tag with more Distress Ink (Scattered Straw) using Ranger’s Cut n’ Dry Foam or similar.
- Ink the string using Distress Ink and the foam as well.
- If you’re an artist, which I know you are – tie onto one of your creations and give to someone special!
