Today’s featured Store Kit is Ticket to Life by Joslyn Nielson. I love it! I don’t know what it is about tickets that I love so much, because real tickets, don’t do it for me, but stamped tickets? That’s another story.
As I was making this layout for the post today, I was thinking that the stamps really didn’t stand out that much. Then I had the thought that they weren’t really supposed to (on a layout). If this project was a card, the stamped image would be the focal point, but on a layout, it’s the photo that should be the star, followed by the title, then the “stamped” embellishments. It’s a totally different way of using your stamps, they assume a different purpose as the side kick.
From Unity’s Store Kit Ticket to Life, I used 3 of the tickets, the main sentiment, and the No. and 3 stamp. I also used Carnivale Alpha (Marah Johnson) for the RIDE title. These alpha stamps were too good and perfect not to use on this layout. I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out.
The paper is Graphic 45 “Le Cirque”. I LOVE these colors together. The frame in the middle is a die cut frame from Spellbinders, treated with Shimmerz Enamelz embossing powder (Gold Digger), then I used some Clearsnap Chalk Ink to finish it off.

Making the Tickets:
I made the tickets using Distress Stain (Wild Honey) on watercolor paper, let dry, and stamped tickets in black and trimmed. The one ticket has the semi-circles that are perfect for little circular gems (Want2Scrap).
Thanks for coming by and enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
