Growing in Unity

Happy Wednesday and welcome to Growing in Unity!! This week Kim is up sharing her fabulous Unity creations!
Meet Kim:

Here is a little something about Kim:

“Hi!  I’m so excited to be the GIU Gal this week!  My name is Kim, and I enjoy rubber stamping and paper crafting.  My husband and I live in Idaho, which is very different from Fort Lauderdale where I grew up.  We share our lives with two cats, 13-year-old Dusty and 3-year-old Pikachu (she was named by a little boy before the family decided not to take her with them on their cross-country move).

I’ve been stamping for over a dozen years.  I started because I needed a quiet hobby to keep me occupied.  My husband fell ill shortly after we got married (was my Bridezilla-ness to blame?).  My husband’s medical issues are huge and varied. He’s had six surgeries, including open-heart surgery and a kidney transplant and hundreds of doctor visits.  He also suffers from chronic pain.  His pill container looks like a big embellishment organizer.  I am his caregiver.

My favorite thing about stamping in particular is that I can feel like an artist without having the ability to draw.  And the best thing about papercrafting in general is the huge group of supportive and creative friends I’ve made.  My life wouldn’t be the same without them.

I do my best to be quiet at home when hubby is sleeping, and as long as I’m not using the heat gun or the old hammer & eyelet setter, I’m good!  When I’m at a crop or a stamping party I get more talking done than stamping, but I always have a great time.”
Check out Kim’s project to share this week:

Be sure to swing on by Kim’s blog each day this week for loads of great inspiration and your chance to win some Unity goodies!
