Good morning! Heather here to share a clean and simple card with lots of layers. Now usually you wouldn’t hear “CAS” and “Layers” put together, but when you keep the colors super simple and neutral, it can totally work! Here I used a simple color combo of white and cream – and a single focal point sentiment in gold embossing for a super elegant finish!
I used the beautiful Thanks for You stamp set – such a lovely sentiment for a card, and it had the perfect elegant script I wanted for my card today. I heat embossed it with Antique Gold Embossing Powder after using my MISTI (a stamp positioning system) to stamp in Embossing ink two times for a nice clear impression.
Here is the video I made to share today detailing my process:
The measurements for trimming the cardstock are simply reduced by 1/2″ on each side for each cut – this allows a 1/4″ border between each layer. So the cream card base front is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, first white layer is 3 3/4″ x 5, next cream layer is 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″, and the front white layer is 2 3/4″ x 4″.
Hope this inspired you to create – and can’t wait to see what you end up using for your own takes! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!
