Happy Sunday all and welcome back to another STEP IT OUT SUNDAY.
We are going to do some Fun Kit Combos today.
That’s right we are going to do some Fun Kit Combos today, something I LOVE to do. I get more use out of my stamp kits when I do this, and it gives the kit itself a new fun look.
So let’s take a few minutes today to look at a few cards that I have made for you all.
For my first card I am going to show you is a Combination of 4 kits.
The Succulents come from Kits… SUCCULENT SALUTATIONS
I water colored the Succulents and the pots on water color paper called- Canson Mix Media. I love water coloring, I used a mix of water colors and Tim Holtz distress Inks, and painted them with a water colored brush pen.
One of my favorite ways to get colors to blend nicely is to always add my shading while everything is still a little wet. The colors seem to blend into each other very nicely. It also depends on the look your going for. I then fussy cut them all out after I colored them.
For the background paper I used a die, and splattered the background with Tim Holtz distress inks- Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold, and Black Soot.
I then glued them down, and popped the 3 front potted succulents up with pop-dots to make them stand out. I added a little washi tap, cause you can’t go wrong with a little washi, added the sentiment and done!
Next up for my Fun Kit Combos, is this cute little Panda mamma and her little baby.
Kits used are SMAK- FIND YOUR ZEN
Sentiment is from -NO ONE SWEETER
I stamped the bamboo from the SMAK set with Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint distress ink.
Colored the Pandas with copic markers, added a few embellishments, – Heart sequins, flag banners, twine, and a square paper clip.
I fussy cut out the pandas and die cute out the background. Who wouldn’t love to get a cute little card like this!
Here is my third and last Fun Kit Combo card for you all today.
Sentiment is form- THINGS WILL WORK OUT
Kits used-BEE HAPPY HEXAGONS
I have a fiskars hexagon punch that fit the Hex stamps perfectly and didn’t have to fussy cute them out by hand.
I stamped them with Tim Holtz distress inks- Scattered Straw, Tumbled Glass, and Cracked Pistachio. Then took Vintage Photo ink to the edges with a Tim Holtz distressing tool.
I colored the beautiful flower with Copic markers and then added Wink of Stella to it, to make it shimmer and shine.
I used die cuts from Gina Marie Designs to cut out the sentiment and for the base of the card.
That’s it for Combining Kits together, it can be so fun and rewarding. You can come up with so many fun new and exciting ways to use your sets.
I really hope you all enjoyed today’s walk through Fun Kit Combos, and if you try it out make sure you share it on the Unity Show and Tell and Tag me so I can be sure to love on your creations.
Until next time, thanks again everyone and see you next Sunday.
