Masculine Color Combo | Everything Comes Full Turn & Deco Hound

Hi, there Unity Friends! Crystal here on this Tuesday morning with a new series called Color Combos with Crystal. I will be on every Tuesday of the month with a new color combination and lots of Unity Stamps.

For this color combination, I wanted to do something a bit more masculine, yet not dark. I seem to lean towards the girly pink and purple shades, so this was a real challenge for me.

For this card, I used Deco Hound background stamp and Everything Comes Full Turn stamp. For the colors, I used Stampin Up Night of Navy, Tranquil TIde, Very Vanilla & Crumb Cake. Let me show you how I made this:

First, I stamped the Deco Hound using Crumb Cake on to a trimmed piece of Very Vanilla (off white) cardstock. This cardstock was then matted over the Tranquil Tide, and placed over my card base.

For the sentiment, I die cut two circles from Very Vanilla and the Night of Navy. The Very Vanilla cardstock was then stamped in Tranquil Tide witht the stamp from Everything Comes Full Turn, placed over the Night of Navy circle with foam adhesive. This will allow you to see the back part of the Night of Navy creating a “shadow” effect.

The die cuts were then placed over a cardstock ribbon that consisted of placing a rectangle of Crumb Cake cardstock over the Night of Navy. To finish the card, I added two sets of Nuvo drops in a kelly green and dark blue.
