Hi everyone, Laurel here again with another round of Friday Favorites. In this case… of course some Unity stamps, but one of my favorite things to do is upcycle. Today I have upcycled a pair of jeans. I cut a piece of denim from some old jeans. Old jeans are good to keep around as they work for many projects. I then paired it with a burlap pennant that I have had in my stash for awhile (another favorite of mine… to use up some stash!)
Next I went to work with my papers (I used some Crate Paper), dies and Unity stamps to create a piece for display at my work station at home.
After stamping a couple of sentiments from the New Year New Dreams stamp set, I cut one apart for added interest. Once I was happy with the placement of items, I then stitched them on. I love the texture and interest a bit of stitching adds. The Jane Girl is paper pieced them mounted on foam squares.
I hope you like this little piece of inspiration. I do… it is hanging right at my desk as we speak 🙂
Have you ever upcycled anything? What was it?
