April Color Combo | 4 Colors + 4 Cards | Episode 4

April 24, 2018 - by Crystal Thompson

April Color Combo | 4 Colors + 4 Cards | Episode 4

Happy day friends! Crystal here with a fun card post and I am so excited to be sharing this card made with Magnolia Flowers from Graciellie Designs.

If you have not seen this set yet, you should definitely check it out; I absolutely adore these stamp sets.

I am continuing on my series for this bright color combination for April, where I am making 4 cards with the same color combo! If you missed the first post, click HERE for part 1, and Episode 2, click HERE  , Episode 3 HERE With that being said this is the last card with this bright color combo.

This one layered card was water colored with Distress oxydes. You read that right, you can watercolor with those handy inks and to top it off this was not done on watercolor paper.

Once the card was folded, the magnolia from Magnolia Flowers stamp set was stamped 4x, then stamped the sentiment with a black archival ink. The process to watercolor with distress oxydes would be the same as with water coloring with any other dye ink. Stamp the ink pad on onto a piece of acetate, and grab your colors from there. Layering colors is the trick!

The combination of soft and bright colors in this sweet card really turned out fun and I hope you are inspired by what I’ve created!

If you would like to see how i created this card, be sure to press play on the video below this post!

Thanks for visiting with me today; I’’ll be back soon with a brand new video for you!
