Bright and Vibrant Cards that Pack a PUNCH!
Hi all and welcome back to another Step it out Sunday.
So I wanted to make a few cards that I could do fast and yet make it look like it took forever, but then I got going and decided to make it more complex. I always seem to do that. Bright and Vibrant cards that Pack a PUNCH! is the theme for today.
So for my first card I took Gina Marie circle dies and cut out the circle. I used Distress inks and my distressing tool and put the color down on the cut out inside circle. I then used White color box ink and stamped out the hexagon honey stamp and then heat set it. I then used form the same set the dotted circle stamp with vintage photo distress ink.
I took my shimmer spray and sprayed it to give it a fun affect. The flower was done in antique linen for the no line coloring technique. I then watercolored the flower in my desired color, PINK. I tied the little heart around the steam for a fun little accent.
Before I glued down my flower I used my Tim Holtz platform and put on my sentiment.
I added Green splatter to the card to give it some depth and then added light pink sequence around the card. I just love this flower!
Those Bright and Vibrant colors really pack a punch!

I really enjoy no line coloring so I thought I would do the same for my next card.
I did the same as the first one but used a square instead of a circle, it gave it a different look but still delivered a vibrant punch!
I used my distress tool and peacock feathers distress ink and distressed the inside of the square. and stamped this beautiful stamp from the SMAK set on it in vintage photo. I also used a barbwire stamp form another set and stamped it in colorbox white.
Again I used my Tim Holtz platform and stamped my sentiment multiple times to make it really stand out.
I also then colrored this flower up in PINK. I love pink can you tell. Sometimes its hard for me to get out of my comfort zone.
When you no line color, pick your lightest color first then go to the next darkest and so on. You can always go darker but it’s much harder to get lighter.
I splattered orange for the ink on the base of the card and then added my sequence after I had everything glued down.
I hope you give this fun technique a try and make sure you tag me in your posts if you share so I can Love on your creations!
