Hi all, Amanda here with another Step it out Sunday.
Have you ever just been stuck in a crafting rut? Who or where do you draw your inspiration from? Do you case cards from others?
I love to get my inspiration from other Unity Design Team Members, they are all so talented. I also LOVE Pinterest.
Today I am casing from our very own, the talented, Lisa Arana.
She did a blog post on a card that had half a circle cute out on the left side of the card. I just loved that idea. So I have created 4 cards with the same concept.
So lets jump right into Case It Sunday!
For my fist card I used the Kit
That sheep dog is so Cute!
I watercolored the sheep dog and then fussy cut him out.
I loved how the papers complimented each other. I used Gina Marie Design Dies for the base card. I added the hearts like Lisa did Its so cute! Have you tried this technique yet?
For my next Case It Sunday card I used kits
Sentiment Lil Smartie Pants
I watercolored the little swinging girl and then fussy cut her out.
I used Gina Marie Designs Die to cute the rectangle and then cut the half circle out of that.
I added the sentiment under her.
Do you like to case people?
For my next Case It Sunday card I used Kit
Are you a member to any of the kits of the month? My favorites are KOTM ( Kit of the Month)
and SMAK ( Scrapbook Mix Media Art Kit)
I stamped the honey combs in Faded Jean Distress ink then added Fossilized Amber Distress ink with my Tim Holtz distressing tool.
I used Gina Marie Designs Die to cut the base of the card and cut the circle out.
I watercolored the bee and added the Fossilized Amber to it with my distress tool.
I love all things Honey Comb.
For my last Case It Sunday card I used kits
SMAK Stay close to your People.
This Kit is so amazing just like KOTM it is loaded with amazing stamps! If your not yet a member of these kits I really recommend looking into some of the past kits. Since becoming a member of these 2 kits my card making has taken on a whole new technique.
Ok back to the card, I watercolored the bird and the clock and just like the others I used Gina Marie Designs Die and then cut out the circle out of the corner.
Casing other peoples beautiful creations can really jump start your creativity.
I hope you have enjoyed this weeks Case It Sunday, and as always Keep crafting!
