Hello crafty friends! Welcome back to another stamping therapy session. Today I have video tutorial for you doing triple layer stamping with two step stamps. Unity has a some fantastic two step stamps. The layers add interest to any simple stamping.
Since Mother’s day is right around the corner I thought I better get some cards made up. I love the bold two step flowers in this kit. This turned out so bright and cheery!
Kits used:
Smile It’s Your Day and Mama’s & Grandma’s
Triple layer stamping with two step stamps
This technique works great with single layered stamps as well. I am just loving some of these two step stamps that Unity has. The Smile It’s Your Day sentiment kit has lots of two step stamps in it.
Two more samples using the same technique
Here is another sample of triple layer stamping with two step stamps using Donna Poppies kit. The sentiment is from Mama’s and Grandma’s sentiment kit. This sentiment kit is a fantastic one for Mother’s Day! I stamped the poppies in distress oxide in candied apple and stamped the outline in Gina K’s black onyx. Ink splattered with distress oxide in candied apple and black acrylic paint.
Here is the last sample using the same technique using You Are This kit and He’s A Wordy Buck kit. I stamped the flowers in regular distress ink tumbled glass and peacock feathers. Ink splattered in peacock feathers and added embossed sentiment.
Here’s a look at all three samples using triple layer stamping with two step stamps. For a different twist you can move the layers around. Also could used different shapes as well. I was just feeling very symmetrical on these ones but, it could definitely be changed up a bit. Lisa did a similar blog post using this technique. Check that out here for more Unity inspiration.
I hope you found some inspiration using triple layer stamping with two step stamps. If you try this technique out for yourself, tag me over on the Unity Show and Tell Facebook group.
