Hi everyone! It’s Whit here back with another blog post 🙂
I have been seeing so many adorably sweet Mother’s Day cards being posted. And it got me thinking.. What do you do if your mom just in not sentimental (and maybe a little sassy haha)?
Then I saw this non-traditional Mother’s Day card that Heather Hoffman created– and it got me feeling real inspired… (this one is more like my mama).
I wanted to create a fun card for the not so sentimental mother– and used kits that can be used for several occasions (I love versatility in stamps). So here is my take on a sassy and sweet Mother’s Day card.
Now– enough of the chatter.. let’s move on the the card I will be creating today.
Sappy on the outside… and sassy on the inside.. kind of like a sour patch kid but in card form haha.
Here is a video showing you how I created this fun card:
I had so much fun making this card. This technique is really fun- and really forgiving. You can just grab your favorite water based inks and give it a try.
The Hollyhock stamps really are the star of the show here though… I am obsessive about all floral stamps- I have to have them all. And this one is no exception. It is so huge and amazing on cards and mixed media projects too- if you’re a floral fiend like I am YOU need this kit– truuuuussssttt me.
Anyways- I hope you all have a great day and thank you so much for taking the time to check out my blog post. If you try this technique– be sure to share it with me on the Unity Show and Tell!
XOXO,
