Quick and Easy Teacher Gift Box

May 25, 2018 - by Laurel Seabrook

Quick and Easy Teacher Gift Box

Hi everyone, I have another teacher themed project for you today.  This one is a quick and easy pencil shaped gift box that was super fun to make.

The first thing I did was create some pattern paper by stamping the ruler from the Ruler Background set onto some yellow cardstock.  In all honesty… I have a hard time creating with just cardstock… I always seem to have to do ‘something’ with it and Unity stamps make that ‘something’ very easy!

I then used my Silhouette to cut out the pencil and then using some adhesive just put the box together.  It is a nice size to fill with some good quality chocolate (just so you know… teachers love chocolate 😉 ) and I would even stick a gift card inside – to a stationary supply store, teacher store, $ store – those are all good places!

I then of course, had to fancy it up even more to carry out my theme.  I created a tag full of school themed goodness.

I stamped the Grade School Tablet in white onto black cardstock and heat embossed.  I didn’t care if there were bits of embossing powder where there shouldn’t be as it is more like a chalkboard…. although… soon… people may not even know what a chalk board is! LOL  I just trimmed it down and punched the top with a spiral punch to create a notebook feel.

Next, I stamped and trimmed the Weekly Schedule Vintage Apple onto cardstock and crumpled it just for some added interest.

After that, I have used the apple from the Apple Stamping set – because, well… teacher and apples just seem to go together 😉

Finally, stamping the sentiment from the Apple Stamping and adding interest to it by adding a die cut sentiment and the tag is complete.

As a teacher, I would love to get something like this.  What about you?

Thanks for visiting today!
