Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. For this card, I used distress ink pads and distress markers for trendy word art watercolor.
Here is a birthday handmade card with trendy word art watercolor using a distress ink and distress markers. I used die-cuts for the letters over watercolor to match the pre-colored wine theme.

I made a video tutorial for this trendy word art watercolor birthday card. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video, however, a written process follows below.

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Stamp with waterproof ink onto watercolor paper. For the wine, I used distress markers as watercolor.
On a separate watercolor piece, add your choice of watercolor. I used three distress ink pads for the letter background colors.
Blot puddles or areas where you want to lighten color. Heat set.
I used alpha die-cuts to make trendy word art. I alternated the letters and colors.
Make splatters from watercolor for the wine panel background.
Heat set. Then adhere the letters.
Finally, assemble the card.
Here is another look at my card.
