Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. For this card, I am sharing a way to watercolor with distress ink pads.
For today’s project, I created a stamped flower birthday handmade card using watercolor with distress ink pads by Ranger.
Sentiment: Birthday hugs & wishes for a very special year.
For me, I am forever in need of birthday cards. So, I paired the sentiment with these florals.
Unity Stamp Co. stamp kits used:
You Are Forever Beautiful and
Rectangle Scalloped {border stamps}
I made a video tutorial for this card using watercolor with distress ink pads. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video, however, a written process follows below.
Watercolor with Distress Ink Pads ~ Flowers

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Stamp onto watercolor paper with waterproof ink. I repeated partial flowers to make a cluster.
I began by adding the lightest pink then layered with a darker pink.
Then, I layered light purple with a touch of dark purple on the flowers.
The leaves were done the same way with two shades of green. I finished by adding light blue on the background.
Ranger distress pads used: tumbled glass, milled lavender, spun sugar, worn lipstick, shabby shutters, pine needles and dusty concord.
Assemble the card.
Here is another look at my card.

Catch me next Wednesday with a new project for Unity’s Watercolor Wednesday.
Have a lovely day.
