Hi everyone, Laurel here with a simple but fun little tag that you can make to dress up a summer party table. I love the look of little tags hanging from things and a summer picnic party is no exception. Today I am sharing a little lemonade tag using… once again, the fun Gurnsey Gingham background stamp.
Nothing says summer picnic to me more than blue gingham and lemons – and I really am a sucker for anything lemon – not necessarily the taste, but for sure the ‘freshness’ and fun associated with it!
To add interest to my lemonade jug, I created a tag and doesn’t it just add a touch of fun to the table?!
First I stamped the Gurnsey Gingham onto some white cardstock. I then used a tag die and cut out the tag. Now if you know me at all, you know I love my pattern paper so I couldn’t have plain cardstock lemons now could I?
I used the dot pattern background from the Halo Dirty KOTM and stamped it on yellow cardstock. I then punched out some lemons; I like the feel it gives to the lemons. The leaves were stamped with non other than the Vintage Ledger stamp.
I stamped the sentiment from the A Summer Story KOTM right onto the lemon and then stapled it onto the tag.
For a bit more whimsy, I stamped the ‘lemonade $1’ sentiment from the Lemonade stamp set, punched it out and stapled it to some twine.
Isn’t it fun?!
What about you? Do you have summer picnics? Do you add little bits and bobs to your table or just the neccessities?
Thanks for stopping by!
