Good morning! Heather here to share a fun technique with you using Nuvo Masking Fluid – one of the awesome supplies that Unity Stamp Company is now carrying! I have tried a few different masking fluids – and for one reason or another, not really loved them. This is the first one that I have been thrilled with – easy to use, and fabulous results! What a perfect win, don’t you think? Here is one of the cards I made using today’s technique:
Here is the video sharing my process for this technique:
With a fun fabulous background, a simple image and sentiment are really all you need! And where better to find those, than in one of Unity’s fabulous Sentiment Kits?!?!? For today I used So Very Grateful {January 2018 Sentiment Kit}.
I used my MISTI (another supply that Unity now carries) to stamp the image several times – on the textured cardstock, it is so helpful to get a clear impression!
And since I had masked off one panel before filming the video so it could dry, and I demonstrated a new one on the video, I of course took the time later to turn that one into a card as well, just using a different color combo:
For the first card I used Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint sketch distress inks – and for this second card, I used Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers.
I love how this technique allows me to combine watercolor stripes and splatters on just the areas I want – so much fun to vary the colors as well. And so easy! Would love to see if you try this as well!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!
