Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. For this card, I used Sakura Koi watercolor for the two-tone watercolor flowers.
This is a card for almost any occasion, especially for congratulations and birthday. For this card, I created the look of variegated two-tone watercolor flowers inside of a teacup.
Sentiment: You deserve the very best.

For this project, I made a quick video tutorial for the two-tone watercolor flowers. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, a written process follows below.
Two-Tone Watercolor Flowers with Sakura Koi

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
To begin, pre-stamp onto watercolor paper, with waterproof ink. Prepare watercolors.
I used four colors of Sakura Koi watercolor for the flowers, leaves and the background.
I applied pink into the petal folds using a narrow brush. Then I blended out with water only.
To add highlights to dark areas, remove watercolor with a damp brush, while the watercolor is still wet.
I merged yellow with pink to create a variegated look to the flowers.
Blend the colors where they meet, with a damp brush.
Finally, heat set by section. Repeat the process for the leaves.
Finish the watercolor and assemble.
Here is another look at my card.

Wishing you a happy day.
