Documenting Summer in a Traveler’s Notebook

July 13, 2018 - by Laurel Seabrook

Documenting Summer in a Traveler’s Notebook

Hi everyone, Laurel here with another edition of Friday Favorites.  It’s no secret that I love the KOTM… I tend to sneak them in on almost every project.  Today I am sharing a project using A Summer Story… because… well… summer 🙂

Some fun images and sentiments in this one.  Today I focused on the sentiment Every Summer has a Story as I am creating a summer Traveler’s Notebook.  Have you tried this way of scrapbooking or memory keeping?  I love it!  I love how quick and easy they go together and that it is an easy way of creating a mini album.

I have a little summer bucket list and this notebook will be where I capture and journal about all of the events I do this summer.  Of course, I needed a title page and that is where the sentiment was perfect.

I used some papers and bits from Pinkfresh Studio and just layered pieces that would carry out my theme – I had to tuck a lemon in there… summer and lemons… yep! and yes, I plan on just doing fun 😉

I then used the Angie Girl in the kit and paper pieced her.  Don’t you love that bag? I mounted her on foam squares for some added interest.

So there you have it.  A quick and easy page and my notebook is ready for documenting my summer story.

What fun things do you have planned for this summer?  Why not try your own Traveler’s Notebook!
