Hi everyone, Laurel here with another layout for you. I don’t scrapbook as much as I used to now that my kids are grown. Luckily I have a cute little grand daughter to bring me some inspiration.
For this layout, I first roughly laid out the placement of the bits and pieces so I had an idea of what I wanted the final page to look like.
I then removed the pieces and used the stamp from the Happy Little Moments SMAK kit. I knew most of it would be covered up so I just went ahead and stamped it a few times, not worrying about placement really.
I then adhered all of my bits and pieces. I knew that I wanted to incorporate the sentiment from the Stay Classy kit as it is so perfect. As a grandma, I really get this… those special moments…they are important they are what matters… not the clothes you are in, the car you are driving or how big your house is… it’s the moments.
That is one reason I LOVE scrapbooking and creating layouts. To document the special, everyday moments. I know my grand daughter will love looking at this page years from now as much as I love photos of me and my grand parents who are no longer here. Lucky for me, I am a young grandma so I am here for awhile 😉
Finally, the Small Things Matter Most is the perfect kit for documenting things like this. I used the word grandma to add to the heart on the photo. My grand daughter calls me “gwama’ and yes I have documented that 🙂
