Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. Today, I am sharing a way to use the bold effects of Brusho watercolor powders with bonus envelope art.
Today’s technique focuses on one way to use the crystal color powders of Brusho watercolor with stamping. I am also including bonus stamped envelope art using the same flowers but without the watercolor. This watercolor look provides an artsy mixed media style to card making and paper crafts.
Sentiment: You are so special.

I made a quick video tutorial for this card. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, a written process follows below.
Brusho Watercolor Card & Envelope Art

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
To begin, die-cut or trim an envelope liner. Trim watercolor paper and accent layers.
Stamp and emboss onto watercolor paper. Heat set. I used ColorBox ink in two colors with clear embossing powder.
Stamp onto the outer envelope, the liner and the sentiment panel with complementing shades of permanent ink then heat set.
To watercolor, apply a water layer. Then lightly sprinkle Brusho Crystal Color powder one color at a time. Blot with a paper towel.
Heat set. Repeat with another color, if desired.
I added extra water by tapping the water over the color. Blot again to remove the puddles. Heat set.
Assemble the card and envelope.
Here is a look at the inside showing the envelope liner using the same florals, but without watercolor. Watercolor paper is too thick to use as a liner insert.
Here is another look at the card.

Catch me next Wednesday with a new project for Unity’s Watercolor Wednesday. Thanks so much for visiting.
Wishing you a wonderful day.
