Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. Here is a way to add floral watercolor art to cards, planners, journals and even bible journals.
For this project, I am sharing floral watercolor bible journal art using watercolor pencils. It can be tricky adding watercolor with stamping to thin pages. But with a little fussy cutting, it can be beautifully done. This is a technique that works perfectly for cards, planners, journaling, mixed media and even bible journaling.

I made a quick video tutorial for this. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, a written process follows below.

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Pre-stamp onto watercolor paper. Lightly add color with a watercolor pencil on the petal edges.
Using a flat stiff damp brush, pull out the color from the shaded areas. Heat set.
Repeat with another color. I shaded the center and then pulled out color from there.
Continue adding color and layers as you wish. Dry before adding more pencil sketches.
Finally, fussy cut the flower. Stamp and trim the sentiment panel. Adhere and then assemble the page.
Here is another look.
