Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. Here is one way to add watercolor with gold foil accents to stamped cards or other paper crafts.
For this project, I am sharing watercolor with gold foil accents along with stamped flowers. With watercolor layering, distress ink edge blending and gold deco foil accents, this card came to life. This is a mixed media style card using watercolor and other fun techniques.

I made a quick video tutorial for this. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, a written process follows below.

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Stamp onto watercolor paper with waterproof ink. I used the Misti stamp positioning tool with Ranger archival ink.
Then stamp with a sticky ink or lightly apply a deco foil pen. Allow the glue to dry on the paper for approximately 20 minutes.
Apply foil face up & sandwich between a sheet of paper. Run it through a pre-heated laminator.
Gently peel away the foil from the stamping. I wanted a mixed media bold look so I originally applied extra glue.
Apply watercolor by layering a few different colors. Dry between colors. Heat set.
Remove excess color by applying a damp brush over the watercolor and dabbing onto a paper towel. Heat set. Apply splatters.
Add dreamy edges by blending distress ink. I decided to change the sentiment and add gems to finish.
Here is another look.

Catch me next Wednesday with a new project for Unity’s Watercolor Wednesday. Thanks so much for visiting.
Wishing you a wonderful day.
