Hi all and welcome back to another Step it out Thursday. I am so happy to be sharing this fun card with you today.
Watercolor Fun, and playing with color.
I’ve recently been watching some fun watercoloring videos and i realized I can get stuck and not branch out and explore some really fun techniques like blending colors together.
I am no export but I thought I would share the fun card I made by trying this idea of playing with color.
Kits Used:
GIRL IN A GARDEN
I stamped out my image on watercolor paper and then used my Zig Clean Color real brush pens.
Starting with my favorite color Persian Green (it is more of a teal then a green) I highlighted out around my stamped image. Dragging the color towards the center of the skirt and then letting things dry.
I then added the beautiful vibrant Purple. Just going in some small areas and adding a little amount of the Purple I dragged it to the center of the image. It really made it POP!
For the Flowers I used they same vibrant Purple to tie things together. I then added the Flower Soft shavings on top of the color. These Shavings are so fun and really brings card some fun dimension.
Playing with color has been such a fun experience, and has brought some really pretty results.
I would like to encourage you to brake out those watercolors and play!
For my next Project I created this lovely scrapbook page using Mixed media stamps by Jolande & Marleen’s new Kits and also that Brand new kit from the Brutus Monroe line Barn Wall
I used Vicki Boutin Art Crayons, rubbed them on my stamps then spritzed them with water and stamped them on my watercolor paper. I just love this soft effect this has.
