I found this cute canvas zipper bag at the craft shop and wanted to do something with it.
I plan on using it to store my watercolour pens.
So I decided on a watercolour background and this past layers if life stamp called Magical & Hopeful.
It has my two favourite things butterflies and my favourite word hope!
This stamp is a nice big size and it makes a lovely focal point on the front of my bag.
I started off with the plain canvas bag like this.
I took my Brusho watercolour powders in the colours of Turquoise and Alizarin Crimson.
I Sprinkled some on the bag and sprayed it with water to let the powders dissolve.
Then I dried it a little with my heat tool and added the next colour.
I set it aside for a couple of hours to dry completely.
The good thing about Brusho is once it is set the colours are permanent.
Then I took the bag and put it on my stamp platform.
I put the magnets inside the bag to hold it down while I stamped.
I just used black Archival Ink to stamp on to the fabric.
I stamped a about 4 or 5 times to get a good dark print on the fabric.
I really loved the way it turned out
