Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. For today, I have layered watercolor flowers against background accents.
This is a way to layer watercolor flowers with watercolor background accents. With stamping and a little fussy cutting, the floral gives texture and floats above the background.

I made a quick video tutorial for this. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, the written process follows below.
Watercolor Flowers and Background Accents Handmade Card

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
To begin, stamp onto watercolor paper with waterproof ink. Trim or die-cut if preferred.
On a plastic craft mat, apply Derwent Inktense watercolor pencil shades.
Spritz water. Add more color if preferred.
Dip the watercolor paper over the color in sections. Repeat if necessary. Dry.
Watercolor splatters were added to accent. Add watercolor pencils to the flowers.
I used three shades on the florals. Then I blended with a flat stiff wet brush.
Repeat the color. Fussy cut the flowers. Layer the card to finish.
Here is another look.
