Hi everyone just like that December is over! Seems to take forever to get here and in the blink of an eye it is gone.
I trust that you had a great holiday season celebrating with family and friends. We had our grand daughter here for much of my 2 weeks off. I forgot how exhausting an excited 4 year old can be!
Speaking of holiday and 4 year old, I couldn’t wait to get this photo scrapped! Unity stamps of course, make the perfect addition to layouts.
We are lucky to have her spend the night with us on Christmas Eve. She was so excited to get the stockings hung. To scrap this photo I dug out some of my favorite SMAK sets – Bright and Merry Moments and [It’s a Tradition] Christmas.
To create the little journal spot beside the photo I used the stamp set 25 Days…. it is perfect for documenting December! If you do any type of December Daily, or Documenting December… you need this set!
Then I created the 25 days of Christmas tag (from Bright and Merry Moments – which I think is a must have as well!) by stamping on pattern paper.
Next, in keeping with the ‘documenting december’ one needs a list right? That’s where the [It’s a tradition] Christmas set was perfect. I stamped it on pattern paper and on white cardstock, cut out paper pieced and adhered to the top corner of the layout.
My tip when scrapbooking: I am not one for symmetrical layouts (or cards for that matter) so I try to keep things balanced in other ways. In this case, I have created 3 clusters on my page. I like to group things in odd numbers.
Have you completed your December projects yet?
