It’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. I am sharing a way to combine stamping with foiling and watercolor.
For this card, I pre-stamped and heat embossed the image panel. Foiling and watercolor was added in two different steps. This card, filled with hearts, is ready for love occasions like Valentine’s Day, anniversary and more.
Sentiment:
Beloved you have my heart always.

I made a quick video tutorial for this. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, the written process follows.
Foiling and Watercolor Hearts Card

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
To begin, using smooth cardstock, stamp and heat emboss the panel that you want to foil.
For this example, I added Gina K. Designs foil to the stamped panel using a pre-heated laminator.
The background was die-cut and Altenew watercolor half pans were used for accent color.
Because of the foiling, I used smooth 80 lb cardstock. I added only a little water and two shades for watercolor.
The second layer was a darker teal near the edges.
To finish, heat seat and assemble the card.
