Hi there! We are on our third card on this series using the Botanical Background stamp set. Today’s technique is a double up on layers and colors. The ombre of color then layered is simply stunning. So stayed tuned!!
Today’s color inspiration were pretty simple, I like teal and pink, then while thinking of other colors, I thought, let’s just do a lighter version of each.
Before we begin, I truly encourage you to use a stamp positioner such as a MISTI. Set your stamp on it and ink it up with the dark ink on the top and the light at the bottom and to get that nice blend without lines, it take it stamping both colors several times.
So place your cardstock in the MISTI, and ink up with both shades of teal. Then on another trimmed strip do the pink version. Layer the pink over the teal with foam adhesive to raise it over the teal.
For the sentiment we are stamping the gray with the Botanical Background on a little strip of cardstock, the the sentiment was stamped in black.
The strio was then placed over the pink and finished up with gray Nuvo drops..
