Tea love watercolor tag + embossed mini gift box.

February 27, 2019 - by Gaylynn

Tea love watercolor tag + embossed mini gift box.

Hi, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series.  Here is a fun  mini gift bag decorated with embossing and a coordinating teacup watercolor tag.
.

This mini gift box background was die-cut and then heat embossed.  A stamped and fussy cut watercolor tag was added for a sweet teacup accent.  As an alternative to die-cutting, stamping can be done on an existing solid gift bag instead.

Sentiment:  Tea love.  You are tea-riffic.

Unity Stamp Co. product used:
Tea Love
Original Misti

I made a quick video tutorial for this.  It includes instructions along the way throughout the video.  However, the written process follows.

Tea Love Watercolor Tag + Embossed Mini Gift Box
By Gaylynn Martling for Unity’s Watercolor Wednesday
(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Begin by stamping die-cut gift box pieces.  Or stamp on an existing solid gift bag.  I also heat embossed in white.
On watercolor paper, stamp and emboss the tea cup and sentiment.  I used ColorBox ink and clear embossing powder.
Heat set.  Add watercolor in teal and brown shades.  I used Altenew watercolor half pans and a water brush.
Heat set.  Fussy cut the tea cup.  Assemble the gift box to include the sentiment and the cup as the gift tag.

Here is another look.

Catch me next Wednesday with a new project for Unity’s Watercolor Wednesday.  Thanks so much for visiting.
