Welcome
Happy Thursday to you all! I’m back with another quick card.
The Project
Today it’s all about the simplicity. After the explosion of color the last two weeks, we’re going to rest the eye and use black and white, with an accent color. Seriously, it took me 9:47 to make this.
The Steps
Gather up those supplies. I chose gold as my accent color because I love this piece of paper with the gold triangles scattered about.
Matting onto black cardstock gives the final piece a finished look.
Stamp and cut down image. I chose a stitched die. This is a great time to use those images that are difficult to color because there is a lot of detail. I’m loving this dragonfly from Let Your Wishes Fly because of the vintage detail.
Popping the image up gives added dimension and literally helps it pop from the patterned paper. All that was left to do was add some gold sequins.
The Challenge
This week make a black and white card with a color accent. You can chose any color you like, but make it an accent, not all over coverage. A red heart? How about a yellow feather? Some blue sequins? You decide and upload your finished project into the challenge album over at Unity Show & Tell, on Facebook by 3/28 to have a chance to win some deeply etched red rubber.
Tune in next week for another quick card. Happy Stamping!
