Hi, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series.
I am sharing a vibrant Brusho watercolor card background using Brusho Crystal Colors along with heat embossing.
This card was first heat embossed in black and then in white. Watercolor was added using Brusho Crystal Colors and water. This process provides a marbled look to the card layer which will differ with each application. It is often vibrant. However, it can be muted with added water and with less color powder.

We may not remember everything you said.
But, we will remember how special you made us feel.

Brusho Watercolor Emboss Resist Thank You Card
By Gaylynn Martling for Unity’s Watercolor Wednesday
(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Add powder to watercolor paper prior to stamping. Stamp with VersaMark or watermark ink.
Add embossing powder and then brush stray powder away. Heat set. Repeat for different embossing colors.
I embossed the sentiment in black and the flowers in white.
Mist the panel with water. Carefully shake Brusho crystal color over the water. Mist again to move color.
I used the leaf green color bottle. Dab away puddles and then heat set. Assemble and embellish the card.
P.S. Each crystal color bottle has bits of other colors in it, leaving a marbled look which will vary each time.
Here is another look.
Finally, I made a quick video tutorial for this project.
