Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy that I will be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. This week is the first of July, so we are delving into the amazing July kit! I am using one of the large beautiful images in the kit – paired up with a fun and different technique to use your Copic markers!
As always, here is this week’s video showing you how I created this card:
I rarely use the chisel tip side of my Copic markers, so was looking at them recently and trying to think of a good way to put them to use – that is how this idea came about!
I used a fresh and bright color scheme, and then colored the main image is simple warm grays – the contrast between the two is perfect. Unfortunately, my camera didn’t begin filming when I though for that part of the coloring, so that part isn’t in the video this time – but I will try to work on a video soon sharing how I color images in grays to create a black and white effect.
Some bright coordinating colored cardstock are the perfect finishing touch on this card!
