Hello. It’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series.
Today, I have an Autumn card using watercolor with colored pencil shading.
With a combination of techniques, this card came to life. I used watercolor first, stamped and then added pencil shading. This process of watercolor with colored pencil shading is becoming a favorite of mine.
Sentiment:
Faith sees a beautiful blossom in a bulb,
a lovely garden in a seed
and a giant oak in an acorn.
William Arthur Ward
Helpful tips:
I added layers of watercolor onto the smooth side of a die-cut watercolor paper layer. Once dried, I stamped over it. The acorns were colored with more watercolor and then shaded with colored pencil.
