Hello Unity friends! I’m Shannon Edwards, and I am ecstatic to be bringing you a new challenge each Thursday from July through September. The first challenge that will span the month of July is all about “Empowerment.”
I don’t know about you, but one of the very first things that attracted me to Unity Stamp Company was its incredibly powerful and positive sentiments. I felt like many of the kits were made just for me! So, I want to feature these beautiful pieces of empowerment for this month’s challenge on the Unity Show and Tell.
As a preface, I think sometimes we get bogged down with trying to compare ourselves with others or trying to be the best instead of being who we are. For me, empowerment means encouraging others to be their best selves, reminding myself that I am worthy and strong even if I’m not perfect, and remembering that I have a voice and power to create positive change in the world.
Below are the challenge details and some projects I’ve created using some of my favorite kits featuring positivity and strength.
Challenge:
- Make a project that builds someone up. It could be a card for a friend, a journaling piece for you, a piece of artwork to hang in your craft room to remind you that you are amazing and enough.
- Use Unity stamps. This challenge is more about the sentiment than the style, so use whatever you are comfortable with, or break out of your comfort zone and try something new!
- Post it to the Show and Tell Challenge Album. In order to be entered to win the challenge, you must post an image of your project in the Unity Show and Tell Empowerment Challenge Album. Unity is so generous with its prizes that you’ll be sure to want to enter.
