Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy that I will be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.
Today I’m sharing a fun background I created with Gouache Paints – one of my new obsessions!
As always, here is this week’s video showing you how I created this card:
Gouache Paints are something new I’ve discovered lately and fallen in love with! They have such a unique effect – kind of in the middle between watercolors and acrylic paints – nice and creamy and opaque as well!
This second card was kind of a bonus with the extra paint I had left. You can see how the paint was “worked” a bit more, and tended to mix together and get a little “muddier” in the finished effect. I still thought it turned out fun, so I went ahead and used it anyway.
A touch of fussy cutting, some heat embossing, gold splatters, and some rustic twine help pull together all these fun textures that I think are so important on a fall card like this!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
