Stamping Patterns

August 6, 2019 - by Crystal Thompson

Stamping Patterns

Hi guys! Happy August, Crystal here for Color Combos with Crystal. Today’s color combos are green, purple and gray.  For our stamp set we will be using the Circle of Friendship stamp set designed by Gina k. This a stamp set used with the Gina K. Wreath Builder however I felt we needed to come up with another use for this stamp set, and what better use to make patterns!

To make this card the card base has been trimmed to 4.00 by 5.25. Then we are going to be using two stamp blocks arranging the stamps to pattern that can easily be stamped over each other using two ink colors.

First will stamp the sentiment in black ink on the right side of the card base.

Then stamping the leaf pattern in green, the filling in with purple. Repeating the pattern as necessary until the entire card is filled. The white places will be filled with gray sequins, but not overly done so we don’t miss the pattern making with the stamps.

You can easily change out the stamps that I used with any ones you have. My one suggestion is to keep your color combinations to a max of three colors so it doesn’t get to busy.

I of course have a video tutorial showing you the entire process of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to leave me your comments on the YouTube video and any questions you may have.
