Hi there guys! Happy day after Labor Day, which now totally acceptable to post Halloween projects. Right?! Anyways today’s tutorial features a tone on tone stamping and blending which creates a really cool effect and look.
For this card, you will be needing one of the background stamps recently release called Entanglement. Also, for the sentiment, we will be using the Graciellie Designs Cake Time.
I wanted to create a Halloween version of a birthday card since there are quite a few October birthdays in my family.
To make this card we will begin by placing the background stamp of Entanglement on my MISTI and stamped with purple ink.
Then using an ink blender I started brushing the color from top to bottom, softening the pressure towards the middle to have a very nice and smooth finish.
Next, I splatted white ink to the whole card panel before moving on to the sentiment.
On another piece of cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from CAKE TIME in the same purple ink and trimmed this piece to a nice rectangle. With the leftover ink on the blender brush, I brushed the edges of this rectangle.
To put the card together, I placed the sentiment rectangle on the card, then added pearl Nuvo drops and a couple of purple crystal type sequins to add some more sparkle.
I feel this birthday card is very festive yet totally appropriate for an October birthday.
Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday!
