One layer card masking, ink blending and embossing.

September 18, 2019 - by Gaylynn

One layer card masking, ink blending and embossing.

Hello.  It’s Gaylynn with my series called Technique Time.  Today I am sharing a one layer card with masking, ink blending and heat embossing.

For today, I wanted a one layer card which would provide depth, texture and color.  I incorporated a few techniques to get this clean and simple look.

Sentiment:  Search always for those magical moments.

Helpful tips:

To begin, I masked with Post-It tape and then added three colors of distress oxide ink blending.  Once dried, I stamped and heat embossed the trees in silver.  Finally, the masking tape was removed and the card was assembled onto the card base.

As a bonus, I made a video tutorial for this project.  It will detail the full process.
