Holla! You know I am a fan of no coloring cards! They seem faster and can really use a ton of different techniques to achieve. For today’s Color Combos with Crystal, we are heat embossing on vellum and layering this beautiful fall stamp for a non-fall theme masked ink background.
Let’s get started! For this project you will need the following:
- Unity Stamp Co. Array of Fall
- Distress Oxide
- Vellum
- White Embossing Powder + embossing tools
- Black Embossing Powder
- Purple Tape – Masking Tape/ Washi Tape
- Foam Adhesive
To begin we will start the masking the card base, with the purple tape. By creating different sized and lengths of rectangles with the masking tape. Then using the assortment of Distress Oxide, to each individual rectangle and spritzing or flickering of water on each color. Once the ink and water have dried up, gently remove the masking tape to reveal the color rectangles.
Next, using the sentiment from Array of Fall, we will heat emboss it in black powder on the upper left corner.
While that cools, we are moving on to embossing on the vellum paper. Stamp and heat emboss the floral image from Array of Fall with white embossing powder and using scissors, trim along the florals but leaving the left edge straight.
To finish up, with foam adhesive place long strips at the edge of the Array of Fall florals and secure it to the ink blended cardstock.
I made a super quick video tutorial of this fun card:
Thank so much for your time today,
Happy Cardmaking,
