Hello. It’s Gaylynn with my Technique Time series. Today, I am showing one way to make a metallix gel pearl background using a stencil. It will also have a bit of watercolor for color.
This is a cute pregnancy card with fun techniques included. To get the look, make the background using Deco Foil metallix gel with a white pearl shimmer. Also, for added color, use a small amount of watercolor on the card.
Sentiment: Happy pregnancy.
Helpful tips:
Here are helpful tips for creating this card. To begin, pre-cut and score white cardstock for the card base. Also, pre-cut a scalloped oval frame panel and a layered background panel. Next, apply Deco Foil metallix gel in white pearl, using a heart stencil. Then, once that is dried, stamp and add watercolor to the pickles. Additionally, Zig clean color real brushes can be used for the pickle jar. Also, stamp the sentiment and trim with white heat embossing on black cardstock. Finally, to finish, layer everything onto the card base and assemble.
As inspiration, this sweet card was made for Whitney at Unity, to celebrate her upcoming baby boy or girl. Congratulations Whit and Nic.
