Hi there! Today I have a fun partial trimming technique with a card using Traditional Christmas Colors. My color selections are red, green, white and gold. The stamp set used today is the super fun and festive Old Fashion Holiday Love and the sentiment from the same set.
For this project, you will need
- Old Fashion Holiday Love
- Green Cardstock
- White Cardstock
- Copic Markers or other markers
- Gold Embellishments
- Foam Adhesive
- Paper Trimmer
To make this card, we will begin by trimming both cardstocks for 4.25 by 5.50. Then stamped the truck from the set right on the center of the white cardstock. Once that was done and dry, I used my Copic Markers to color my image. The coloring was done with very minimal blending.
Next, I will stamp the tree from Old Fashion Holiday Love on a piece of post-it, and trim around it. Then use this to mask part of the truck so it the tree looks like it begins the truck bed. Then I Copic colored it too with two basic colors.
Once the coloring is done, with the paper trimmer, we trim the edges of the truck then fuzzy cutting the bottom part of it. Place foam on the background and move on to the green cardstock, and heat emboss in gold the sentiment from Old Fashion Holiday Love.
Place the white cardstock and foam over the green cardstock. Then embellish it with gold sequins.
I have a full video tutorial and how this whole thing came together and how easy is to make.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you!
