Hello! Welcome to Color Combos with Crystal on this AWESOME Tuesday. Today I have a sweet Snow Scene using a Tag. I love using all sorts of components to my cards, and for this winter inspired card, we are using some bright and bold color combinations. The Unity stamp set I am using here is the Catching Snow set. I love this gorgeous little gal with the non-traditional snow and a bold sentiment.
Our color combos for today are Red, Teal, and White. Yes! Those are super odd and bright but they play along together quite nicely.
To begin we will trim all of our cardstock. An off white, to A2 size, then Pool Party .25 of an inch smaller, stamped with the snow flurries from Catching Snow in the same ink color. The Tag is die cut from white Neenah cardstock and ink blended with Distress Oxide Candied Apple, and Peacock Feathers, then splattered with water.
The little gal was colored in Copics and hand cut around. Placed over the tag then splattered with white paint to add more of a snow look.
The sentiment from Catching Snow is heat embossed in white over red cardstock then hand cut around too and placed with foam adhesive over the whole thing.
A bit of embellishment in the shape of snowflakes is placed to give the whole thing some sparkle.
I have a FULL video tutorial here:
That is for today’s tutorial. Be sure to let me know your thoughts and comments on my video.
Happy Crafting!
