Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.
Today I’m sharing a super elegant design in neutral colors – with a fun and simple trick to get a perfect bow on your card front!
As always, here is this week’s video showing you how I created this card:
I love stamping images and sentiments in simple black on white cardstock – and when you use black pigment ink, you can add sparkly clear embossing powder to bump the design up another notch as well!
The easy way to add the bow is best explained in the video when you can see what I’m doing – but basically you punch a hole in the front of the card where you want to place your bow, make a loop of ribbon through the opening, then use that to catch the larger loop to form the bow. Like I said – it’s probably worth watching the video to see how it’s done!
I then mounted that entire front panel on an off-white cardbase with foam adhesive. Something about paired white and cream together is just so very elegant!
Finally, after I concluded the video, I added just a few sparkly Tonic gems to the front of the card for a bit more shine and fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
