Hey! Hey! It’s Friday!!!
Finally, it has been a long week of work and all that adulting stuff!
Now, let’s get down to the fun stuff!
Lisa Arana’s new stamp set “…say it with love“ is fabulous! And have you seen the new Love is in the Air paper pack??? Ghaa! Let’s make a manly Valentine’s card!
Have you ever heat embossed on crinkled paper? I bought this rich red textured paper from Hobby Lobby and had to use it. They have a variety of colors in this texture.
Other tools I used are Hero Arts Silver embossing powder, Tim Holtz’ Big Chat words, Clear Versamark and 20gauge silver wire. I dry embossed the background with Reverse Confetti’s Stitched Rays Cover Panel Confetti Cuts and a pretty piece of paper from the new paper pack.
After I heat embossed the LOVE, I fussy cut it and placed dimensional foam underneath. If you feel that there are too many “dry” or empty spots, use a Versamark Embossing pen and reapply the powder and heat. You want the “LOVE” to look like weathered metal, so don’t fill in too much.
Finish it by adhering it to a 4.25 x 5.5 top folding card. Use double sided tape to stabilize the wire and place the LOVE over it. I used foam tape again for the “still” and “you” words.
This card took about 20 minutes to make. Easy card with an edgy look!
Have a fantastic weekend!
