Hi there! Today I have a Tone on Tone Stamping with solid and outline florals. This easy cardmaking tutorial is paired with a plaid Color Combination for another easy peasy card making tutorial on Color Combos with Crystal.
I have been into getting my color combinations for my paper stashes as I really want to bring down the size of those piles lol! So with that said, this card has tones of brown and pink.
The stamp set used for this project is Magnolia Flowers as it features a solid and outline of the beautiful floral.
Other supplies needed are:
- Pattern Paper
- Foam Adhesive
- Solid Cardstock in off pink
- White Nuvo drops
- Embossing Ink
- Black Paint for Splatters
- White Paint for Splatters.
To begin, trim the plaid pattern paper base 4.25 x 5.50 inches and splatter with black paint.
Next, trim the pink cardstock to 3.25 x 4.75 inches. Using the embossing ink stamp the solid floral image from the Magnolia Flowers stamp set. Add about 3-4 of these images around the edge of the solid cardstock. Allow a bit of time to dry and a tone-on-tone look will pop through!
The outline images come next, using black ink stamp the Magnolia Flowers over the solids to create a fun look! Once done here, add a splatter of white AND black ink to add some fun quirkiness.
The sentiment is also from the Magnolia Flowers Stamp set, stamped on white cardstock with pink in and fussy cut. Add foam adhesive to the back and place on the card. To finish up, add some little White Nuvo drops on the edges, and you are done!

That is all for me today! I can’t wait to see what you make,
