Good Friday Morning Unies!
We are celebrating Angela’s birthday this week and what a perfect excuse to release more stamps we can love! Speaking of love… did you see this Love Bug???? Just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Here is a link to the store https://www.unitystampco.com/sending-love-bug/
Now let me show you what I did!
Stamp and color the Bug on 110lbs paper. For the car, I used R27 and R37. Wheels and shading, C1, C3 and C5. Use a white Gel pen for highlights. For the big heart on top, I used Altenew’s new Metallic water color for a real shiny look.
The sentiment is from the A Little Warmth stamp set from Angie Blom. Fussy cut the stamp in such a way that you have a white base on the bottom, large enough to accommodate the sentiment.
I wanted a background that was subtle but still WOW. I used blue card stock, embossed it with Altenew’s Dotted Swirl Debossing Cover Die and then heat embossed it with silver, Unity’s Lots of Love. To finish, I made a frame from mirror card stock (Silver Frost Tonic) and a frame die from My Favorite Things.
I am a huge fan of foam tape but this had a enough “heaviness” to make for a sturdy card without the tape. Tape the background and Bug together with double-sided tape and use Connect Glue for the frame. This will give you a chance to move and adjust the frame without leaving any residue on your background. Finally, adhere to a top folding, 4.25 x 5.5 card.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend and have time to peruse our big Birthday Bash Sale!
Drop the stamps in your cart to reveal a super discount!
Love from South Carolina,
Charmaine
