Textured and Inked Window Card

Textured and Inked Window Card

Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.

We are now a bit over halfway through the month – are you getting excited for next month’s kit already? I know I am! Back to this month though…today I’m sharing this simple card using one of the beautiful flowers and sentiments from the kit to create this simple offset window card with lots of fun texture!

As always, here is this week’s video showing you how I created this card:

I used a cover plate die to add some texture to my kraft cardstock – you could also use pattern paper. I then die cut a window in that panel in a heart shape – any basic die shape you have on hand would work fine as well.

I created a mask with the same heart shaped die and applied some distress inks in Antique Linen and Walnut Stain around the edges, added some Perfect Pearl splatters, then mounted that front panel over the top in a slightly offset alignment. This gives a bit of a shadow effect. Finally, I added some of my favorite jute string, and mounted it with foam on my cardbase.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
