Happy Valentine’s Day Unies!!
Truth be told, I don’t have a gift for my husband, neither do I plan on getting him anything.
About 8 years ago, I had to admit that I was wrong. I had to admit that I made a very poor decision breaking up our relationship just to make sure I didn’t have any leftover feelings for my ex. I begrudgingly said that I was sorry and “ok fine… you were right!”. We have been happily married for 5 years and have 3 children (that look like him)!
Here is what I did:
I used the couple from the Promised Always stamp set and the sentiment from Older but Wiser. I stamped with Gina K Amalgam ink and used Copic markers for colors. I didn’t do any fancy coloring but just added some shadows in the back with C3. The blueish sky is BG10.
Next, for the front panel, I used the My Favorite Things A2 Rectangle Stax for the outside stitched border and My Favorite Things Rectangle Peek-a-boo window die for the middle. The embossed/stitched hearts come from the Honey Bee Stamps Fluttering Hearts Pierced Coverplate. Place double sided foam tape on the back for dimension.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed it with Versamark and WOW Opaque Bright White Super Fine embossing powder. The fishtail banner die is also from My Favorite Things. Place double sided foam tape underneath the whole banner.
This A2 card can easily be made with what you have by modifying some elements. Use an embossing folder for the front panel. Use a regular rectangle die and draw “stitches” with a black pen for the peek-a-boo window in the middle. Also, modify sentiment- and banner dies to mimic this fishtail die.
I was going to make a very sappy card for today but figured this card speaks volumes more than chocolate and flowers ever will! But I will take those as well 😉
Have a lovely day!
Charmaine
