Hello, Alaine here with some final inspiration for this month’s Birthday card challenge. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have. I am so thankful for this opportunity.
Inspiration #1
This card uses March 2020 Kit of the Month, Spring and Things for the background and image. There is a border strip in the kit and it was stamped repeatedly on white card stock with Versafine Claire Cheerful ink. Cut this panel down with a stitched die and mat on yellow card stock. Stamp the girl from the same kit and color with Copics. Use a scallop border die to cut this down on both sides, mat with yellow card stock and place in the center of the background. Stamp the sentiment from So Glad you Were Born and mat with yellow card stock.
Inspiration #2
This card was a little more complicated to make. Start by cutting a mask for the frosting of the donut from Sweet Sprinkled Donut so the sprinkles don’t stamp, Stamp and color as usual and fussy cut the donut out. Use a Quickie Glue Roller Pen to dot the donut frosting and let the glue dry till tacky. Lay a piece of teal foil over and rub with your fingers until the foil transfers to the dots. Ink a piece of card stock with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide with a light hand. Place the Heart Confetti stencil over this and and ink again with the same color, this time with a heavier hand. Mount this on a black card base. Use the top portion of the same stencil and some Deco Foil Transfer gel duo on a scrap piece of white card stock. When this is dry, run it with the same teal foil through a die cut machine. Trim and mat with black card stock and place on base. Stamp the sentiment and mat with a piece of card stock that was foiled around the edges with the same Quickie Glue pen. Mount the donut and the sentiment on the card using foam tape. This card is so pretty and shiny in person.
